Government of Rajasthan had made budget announcement in
the year 2021-22 to establish Rajasthan Centre of
Advance Technology (R-CAT) in Jaipur. The centre is a
Government of Rajasthan initiative to provide certificate
courses and multi-disciplinary research opportunities to
youth in latest IT technologies such as Artificial
Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics and Virtual
Reality. The center will conduct certification courses of
top tech giants like SAS, VMware, Oracle etc. with a
duration ranging from one week to six months.
R-CAT offers outcome – driven, practitioner designed
certification programs which prepares the learner to
acquire skills to deliver digital transformation products
and projects. Few USPs of R-CAT programs:
- To enhance the employability quotient of the youth (undergraduates/ graduates/ post graduate students) in the field of Information Technology and allied discipline
- To act as a finishing school for developing technical and soft skills of youth and working professionals to make them industry ready
- To ensure quality of training programs by providing them hands on training on live projects, wherever required.
This would depend on the training program chosen by the
leaner. However, after the end of the training program the
employability quotient of the youth would definitely be
enhanced. The leaner shall be more confident in the
technology in which the training has been undertaken. He
would have the ability to self-learn to pick up new tools
and technologies. He would be more acceptable by the
industry. On successful completion of all the assignments
and projects, each learner will be able to:
- Build, test, deploy & release applications (Based on the certification)
- Apply software engineering practices
- Work in an CI/CD (Continuous Integration/ Continuous Deployment) environment
- Join product development teams or digital transformation projects
- Demonstrate confidence with the ability to self – learn to pick up new tools and technologies
The candidates will not be required to spend any extra
money on learning material. The learning material shall be
provided complimentary as part of the course. The learning
material may be provided either in the form of hard copy
or softcopy.
Yes, off course. Most of the IT/ ITES companies hire
engineering students irrespective of their branch and give
emphasis on their logical and reasoning skills. So, these
certifications may add value to your profile and make you
more employable.
R-CAT will soon launch its branches in other district head
quarters and would be operational in Hub and Spoke model.
Candidate interested would be able attend classes at the
R-CAT branch at district head quarter.
Yes definitely you may opt for online course. But
classroom learning has its own advantages. Here you will
be learning directly from industry expert and will be able
to work on live projects in real life environment. This
will give you hands on experience by which you will be
more confident and productive after completion of the
course.

The minimum pre-requisite knowledge required has been
mentioned against each course on the website of R-CAT.
However, the candidate is expected to have basic aptitude
and logical ability to undertake these courses.
The training program shall consist of assignment as per
requirement of the training course. Candidates are
expected to complete the assignments to ensure their
completion of course with high grades.
No. The training program is instructor led and face to
face classroom training.
Every training program has different time commitments. The
timings of each of the training course is mentioned
against that course on the website. The candidates may at
times be required to spend additional time as needed on a
daily basis and/ or during weekend.
Once you have successfully completed the training program,
then you may upgrade to advanced certification offered by
various Training Partners of R-CAT by paying requisite
training fees. You may contact the counseling desk for
guidance.
R-CAT has labs as required for undertaking practical
sessions for each training program. The labs are fully
equipped with the modern infrastructure and licensed
software. The practical lab sessions shall be executed
under the supervision of experts of concerned training
partner.
As mentioned earlier as well, the assignments would be in
form of live projects in real life environment. This will
ensure to make you productive from day one on actual
company.
The training program shall be conducted by Instructor from
respective training partner.
The duration of each training program has been provided on
the website of R-CAT.
The maximum batch size shall be different for different
training program. However, an ideal batch size would be of
maximum 30 candidates.
The schedule shall be made available on the website of
R-CAT. However individual candidates shall be intimated
for any change of timing of the training program.

R-CAT partners with top tech giants for providing the
Global Certifications which is widely acceptable by the IT
Companies. e.g. – An SAS certified programmer is in demand
at the places where SAS analytics software is being used.
No. However, placement assistance may be extended as per
the available opportunities and merit of the candidates.

Role fitment is about the role you aspire as per your
specialized skills. For example, you aspire to start your
career as a data scientist, and you get placed as a data
science engineer in IBM or Genpact etc.
Students will get placed in sectors like Software
Products, Software Development, Software Engineering &
IT Services.
No. However, it will depend on respective training partner
and job availability with them.
Most of the IT/ ITES organization hire specialized
certified talent from the concerned company database. If
any company needs talent to handle SAS product, they surf
the talent pool database and pick the candidate for the
job. Some of such companies from Rajasthan are – Data
Infosys, Girnar Soft, A3 Logics, Metacube, DotSquare, Back
Office IT Solutions, Octal IT Solutions and Advaiya etc.
Quiz-A-thon is a selection process of candidates for
training program at R-CAT. Candidates selected through
Quiz-A-thon will get sponsored to specific training
program by Govt. of Rajasthan.
Students pursuing Tech graduation programs who are keen to
embark on a fulfilling career in IT/ ITES sector.
For registration in “Quiz-A-thon”, you have to visit the
URL: http://rcat.rajasthan.gov.in and fill the
registration form. For enrolling in other R-CAT paid
courses, you may walk in to R-CAT campus at Old Soochna
Kendra, Near SMS Hospital, Tonk Road, Jaipur and meet the
counsellor for assistance.

Though this test will not need any specific preparations.
The test would be about your logical and reasoning ability
and your general aptitude skills.
